Hi there...

Fortunate to get through two of the best programs.
Need your help in finding the pros and cons of both business programs
CBS and Wharton.
Specially as a finance program focused on investment management.

What is your take?

Both will get you there - Columbia in New York and closer to the action, Wharton probably a slightly better overall brand name.

Probably a location shout - would you rather be in Philly or New York to study?

I'd probably say location location location and choose Columbia.

What about the student community? How does that compare?

And being an international student - non cosigner option is something that will be a crucial factor.

CBS only has Prodigy, while Wharton has 2-3... Any clarity on how good/supportive they(Prodigy) are in giving fin aid?

Prodigy loan may cover up to full tuition cost (63k/year). From my experience I found Prodigy team to be quite supportive. The application is done online, and it took less than 2 weeks to get a conditional loan approval.

Wharton has arguably a better brand but I know Columbia Value Investing program is second to none especially if investment management is your goal

Yes agreed slightly better brand! But the kind of opportunities these programs offer are similar. It then depends on how one makes the most of the opportunities.

Definitely location plays an extremely important role. I wanted to understand more about the student community.

Both schools have great student driven clubs. But what differentiates the student community at these schools?
