(posting for my significant other)
I have a good problem - I was accepted to MREDs at Columbia, MIT (with a 70% tuition scholarship/workstudy), and Cornell.
I would like to know how these programs differ and how they are perceived, broadly.
Also I am a foreign student, who has struggled with English and have previously been unsuccessful in completing a graduate degree as I struggled with the English language component of the classes. Which of these programs will be most supportive / collegial / forgiving ? I know they will all be very hard, but it's one thing to be hard and supportive, and another to be trying to be hard and weed people out / be unforgiving.
Any advice?
I'm attracted to Columbia b/c of the NYC aspect, and to MIT because of its strong finance roots (as I prefer finance over product/development).
Any advice is gratefully welcome!
