I am interested in what you think of LBS vs. Stern for entrepreneurship.
Specifically, I am interested in access to angel investors/VCs, business plan competitions, incubators, mentors, potential partners for launching a tech startup with focus on Latin America. I already have success in the startup space and am looking to transition to creative solutions using high tech (ecommerce, new media, etc.)
The basic feeling I have gotten is LBS has a better reputation outside the U.S. and probably opens more doors, but Stern is better known in the U.S., especially in New York (strong wall street ties) and less well respected internationally (compared with LBS).
I look forward to hearing your opinions!

I don't think either is an entrepeanurship powerhouse. You're either tapping into the London or New York ecosystem. Here is where it gets difficult
VC Funding: NYC crushes London by over 4x https://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/0ff8687c-8f52 ... abdc0.html (which in turn gets crushed by SV by 5 times)
Network: LBS class was 8% Latin American which I'm pretty sure was around 2-4x what NYU had.
So, long story short. It depends what kind of business you are looking at and which is more important to the business model's success capital or network.

I agree with you that neither is a Stanford or MIT Sloan with respect to entrepreneurship, which is what makes it a difficult question. However, both schools seem to be pushing to support entrepreneurship and with less competition there could be more resources available. For example, access to LBS's silicon East London Tech City Incubator, their self-run Venture Fund etc. or NYU's $200k Entrepreneurs Challenge or space in the NYU Incubators.

Capital is definitely essential, but then again a strong network makes raising capital easier.
