Hey all,
This is just hypothetical as I'm still waiting for answers, but what if:
Accepted to: HBS, MIT & Wharton (ding from Stanford GSB)
Summer internship and short term goal: MBB consulting in the US
Scholarship: not in any of them
Long term goal: Having my own startup (not necessarily tech) or Venture Capital on the West Coast (LA, SF or SV) OR in Europe.
NOT interested in: tech companies, i.e. Amazon, Google. Non-MBB consulting. Investment Banking/PE/HF.
- I know that MIT Sloan is almost as strong as Stanford in entrepreneurship - I'm just worried about the general impression of the school's tech focus.
- I know that HBS has the best international brand and alumni network, BUT I've heard from many ex-HBS MBAs that recruiting is so extremely competitive as the consulting firms have a certain HBS-quota. -> Is HBS, considering hiring for MBB,
too competitive?
- I know that Wharton is strong in consulting, but considering the class size (twice as big as Sloan's)
are the chances as good to land a MBB offer as for a Sloanie or a HBSer? My impression is that Sloan has one of the best placements in % in the MBB-firms.
Let me know what you think. Which one should I go for?
