Hi there,
I would be grateful to hear anyone's opinions about these two school's that I have been admitted to (Mendoza with a small fellowship VS Merage with no fellowship).
Both schools have similar rankings, with Mendoza having the slight upper hand. I know Notre Dame has the great worldwide brand and all, but given its location, I feel that there wouldn't be as many recruiting events/networking opportunities as there would be with Merage, right in the heart of Irvine. Merage has offices for a ton of big name companies such as Deloitte and Google, literally within a one mile radius of campus. A big appeal to this is that the faculty is constantly setting up networking events, site visits, etc. with these companies. The problem I see with Merage is the reputation it may have with some outside of California, who have the perception of "Oh You went to a UC school but not Berkeley or LA?" It'd be great to work in SoCal but I'm pretty much open to working wherever on either coast. I want to go into Consulting (Management/Operational) and both schools show to have a high rate of graduates entering into this field.
Thanks in advance for anyone's input!!
