Hi,
I got admitted to UW Foster with a generous scholarship. However, I received an email yesterday notifying me that I've been accepted off the waitlist at McCombs at UT Austin. I am in tech right now, and want to continue working in tech post-MBA, in product management/strategy. However, I'm not averse to a move to management consulting either, if an opportunity presents itself. I am an international student, and will require my employer to sponsor my work visa.
What do you guys recommend? I understand that both Seattle and Austin are great for tech -- but does Seattle have a slight edge? Foster has great placement stats, especially for internationals. But McCombs is ranked higher and has a greater nationwide brand, but does that differential justify the more-than-double cost I will need to pay there? Also, how much caliber/quality of the MBA class impact the overall experience? And would student caliber at these schools be significantly different?
Any help would be appreciated greatly!
Thanks.
