I'll weigh in here. I did my undergrad in finance at Cincinnati and really enjoyed the experience. The MBA program is definitely on the rise too as evidenced by it's jumps in pretty much every ranking the past couple years. You say you want to get into finance..as far as financial firms you won't see most big name NY firms on the list, but Cincy has a strong alumni network at Western Southern, Great American Financial, Fifth Third Bank, PNC Bank and a number of small local investment firms. You should be able to leverage the local alumni base to secure a solid job. Additionally you could explore corporate finance options for companies like Kroger, Proctor and Gamble, SC Johnson etc. If you want to end up in the NE or Mid Atlantic I would say Cincy is not the right option, but it is a strong public research institution that is investing in itself and well respected regionally.
