Hi Guys,
I am admitted in both Oxford said and HEC Paris MBA program. However it is really difficult for me to make a decision.
Please give me some hint
BG:
Chinese, masters degree in UK (ranking appr 20 in uk). Work in supply chain field, in German F500 firm. Now working in Europe (company assignment). WE 3yrs.
post mba target: Management consulting
Post mba location: london, manchester, birminham, etc and other english friendly big cities in Europe; asian locations, hongkong, shanghai, Singapore, dubai,etc
here are some pros&cons, but i think i was not able to analyze the most important part: in terms of management consulting placement, which school is better.
Tier1 MBB, Tier2, ATK STRATEGY& LEK, etc
Oxford
Pros:
Big name;
Career office seems quite helpful
I am familiar with how 1-year master in UK works
Cons:
Ranking is much lower than HEC Paris
1 year is very rush for landing a job (especially if I want to land one in UK)
HEC Paris
Pro:
1.5 year so there is a better chance of employment (and internship)
I have learnt French for a while, in HEC Paris I will be able to practice
Business school is more mature then Oxford Said
In all MBA ranking it beats Oxford Said
Exchange program available to US schools (I always wanted to go to New York)
Con:
Brand recognition level in asia is not comparable to Oxford
My French is far yet able to support me with job landing in French world
Higher cost for 1.5 year
