Dear GMAT Club,
So I got accepted to both HEC Paris MiM, and the Stockholm School of Economics' MSc in Business and Management program, and I am trying to decide where to go. I am a non-EU student, and am currently leaning towards a career in consulting and/or finance. Both schools offered me a 50% scholarship (i.e. HEC: 9,000/18,100 EUR, and SSE 75,000/150,000 SEK).
I am currently planning to work in Europe afterwards to be closer to my Finnish girlfriend, and so post-graduation career options are quite important to me. Further, courtesy of an undergrad degree in the US, I am heavily in debt, and am strongly inclined to consider starting salaries in my decision. I have completed A2 levels of both Swedish and French, and intend to continue learning the language of the country I go to school in.
I have no particular geographic preferences: I suppose my girlfriend and I will want to be in the same place (which will be easier for her, since she is a polyglot). While both schools boast high post-graduation employment statistics, I am unsure what circumstances will be as a non-EU student entering the job market. I also understand that SSE has higher starting salaries, but I feel that the higher gross numbers are offset by higher Swedish taxes and living costs.
Do you have any experience with either, and what are your thoughts? Thank you for your time!

Thanks for posting and congratulations for getting through two of Europe's best MiM programs. Trying to weight in with our opinion here, to help you make a decision, if not done already.
If you are looking for post-Master's careers in Finance/Investments/FS, then Stockholm would be the better choice. It may have better offerings, and as you correctly noticed, higher salaries. Agree that the cost of living in Sweden in higher, but then over time you may move to other places within Europe, and this factor can at best be considered a transient one. On the other hand, if you wish to switch to say consulting or something else, then the HEC Paris MiM will give you wider ranging options, better firms to choose from, and education better suited to these goals as well.
General advice, we understand, but hope this helps in some way. Feel free to come back with more questions as needed.
