Hi everyone,
First time poster here with a question for you all: I've been fortunate enough to be admitted to Owen and Mccombs for the Class of 2020. I've received scholarship funding from both schools, but quite a bit more from Owen. I'm hoping to transition into brand management after school, and I loved the culture at both schools. Any thoughts or advice?

Welcome to GMAT Club! Congrats on your admits!
Owen is a great school and I have seen people pass by Fuqua and Yale in exchange for a Scholarship at Owen. I am sure teleste will pitch in.
I won't bore you too much with my surface knowledge but I know grads from both schools have been proud of their alma maters. Both schools are regional - McCombs is Texas (though the tech is giving it a CA reach too); Owen is Nashville/South. I will let some of the McCombs/Owen Students pitch in about Brand Management and employment stats.
PS. This is purely my experience but I have noticed a trend with brand management (tell me if I am off) true Brand Management seems to be a tough space to break into. I feel It is not what it used to be but perhaps it is coming back. The brand management concept per se is a much more senior position/role and only a few people really get to participate in and most either do operations or marketing support... maybe it still is in some CPG categories.

Hey,
Congrats on the admits!
What is the cost of attendance of each school?
When you say brand management, what industry are you looking to get into? (Do you want to be at a CPG? A tech company? In a services firm?)
Where (what geography) do you ultimately want to recruit/live?
Have you looked at the employment reports at both programs? Do any of the companies you're interested go on-campus at either school?
I am happy to chat more about Vandy and/or life in Austin (I was in ATX pre-MBA). While both of these programs have very positive atmospheres, they will differ in some substantial ways. (Size, available classes, location, etc.)
