Indian Male. 30 years old. Fluent in French and English. Non-traditional background - PhD Psychology
My goal is to work in management consulting in France for the next few years and then move to Dubai/Singapore.
Since HEC has a strong brand name in France and I plan to work in France, would it make sense to turn down the HEC offer now.
I am aware that INSEAD regularly sends more than 40% of its graduates into consulting and is known as a top feeder school for the world's leading management consulting firms.
But my primary goal for joining an MBA (be it HEC or INSEAD) is to land an interview with a mgmt consulting firm in France.
I am thinking of strengthening my profile and reapplying to INSEAD in 2 years time.
Does it make sense to put off the HEC MBA and wait for another 2 years for the hopes of an INSEAD brand name?
Additionally, given that I speak French, how difficult is it for Non-EU candidates to land jobs in France?
I have heard that for higher paying jobs in larger firms, work visa sponsorship in France is not an issue, especially they think you are a good candidate.
