Hi all - I was fortunate to be accepted to three schools in Round 1 and looking for some help in the decision-making process, something that is proving to be much more difficult than I anticipated.
- Michigan Ross ($$)
- CMU Tepper ($)
- Cornell Tech MBA (no scholarship)
I work as a technology consultant and my goal is to transition to tech product management at one of the 4 major tech companies (Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon in that order) after school and to pursue tech entrepreneurship in the long run. I would like to work on my tech startup ideas during school; if any idea shows promise, I will be more than happy to work on it full-time after graduation.
I am split between Ross and Cornell Tech since both schools will give me the tools and resources I need to go after my goals. Ross is a more traditional 2-year program while Cornell Tech is a 1-year program focussed on primarily the experiences I care the most about (product management and tech entrepreneurship). However, Cornell doesn’t give me time for an internship which might be an issue since I am trying to switch to product management without any direct prior experience. Would love to hear thoughts on my situation.
