Which program would you choose?
Current industry: Tech at a top tech company (Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook)
Future Industry (in order of preference): Tech VC, Tech Product Mgmt, Tech Consulting
The way I see it is:
Chicago Booth:
[+] More prestigious program
[+] Employer assists with Tuition; would likely switch employers to double up on tuition assistance and would leverage 1-2 quarters off to double up on classes and complete degree faster
[-] Takes longer to graduate
[-] Career transition will be slower and it will be difficult to move into a position much further away from my current one
Cornell Tech 1 Year MBA:
[+] Faster program to graduate
[+] Program and campus is brand new and they are both awesome
[+] Will likely increase in prestige as it becomes more well known
[-] More expensive in the short term
[-] Less prestigious
[-] I risk not geting back into a top 5 tech company
