I went to UCLA for undergrad so I already have the Bruin alumni connection. I am an industry switcher and am looking into healthcare consulting post-MBA. I’ve heard that Anderson’s career center is stronger and Anderson’s reputation is more favorable among recruiters because of its higher ranking, but the full ride is clearly hard to pass up.

Congratulations on both the great admits.
I am more leaning towards Marshall for the following reasons:
1. Although Anderson is very good for healthcare career, I don't think you won't find such opportunities in Marshall. They do also have great healthcare opportunities.
2. Since you already have UCLA name in your resume, I think that will also go in your favor.
3. I would not prefer to spend those 100k+ dollars when the two schools are very close competitors. If you have checked this year's rankings, Marshall has improved alot. It is considered a top 20 program now and Anderson is 16th. So, hardly much difference.
4. Your undergraduate network of UCLA and the network of Marshall would be a double bonus for you.
5. The money saved can be used for a lot many other purposes such as visiting different states to network and explore the experience of MBA life a bit more.
My vote goes for Marshall.

Thank you so much for that thoughtful and insightful advice! What is your opinion on the “brand” reputation of each school? Someone mentioned that Anderson is recognized globally, while USC is not (not recently anyway).
