Hey guys,
I recently got accepted by both IE and HEC in their Master in Finance Programmes. I really do not know which one to choose though.
On the one hand, IE seems to be really up-to-date with a new specialization in FinTech which is amazing. They are also highly ranked throughout the last few years and they have a very rigorous curriculum with a lot of quantitative courses and with focus on both theory and practise. The programme team is AMAZING, they are very polite and helpful and I believe that Madrid will be an ideal place to study. On the downside, I do not know if the reputation of IE is sooo strong.
On the other hand, HEC has an amazing reputation with rankings 1 or 2 the past few years. They also seem to have a great curriculum, which seems to be more demanding in the first period than IE. They focus very much on finding you a job and they suceed on that. On the downside, I have heard that students there are veeeery competitive which is not so appealing since it is about studying not about making someone fall so as to rise yourself. I also recently heard that although courses are done half by top practitioners and half by academics, the are not so well structured and you ge a bit "lost".
What is your opinion guys? I am really troubled and I would like some insights.
Thank you very much for your help
