Hi all,
I have been accepted to both schools (Stern with full scholarship and INSEAD with no scholarship).
I come from Asia. Post MBA, I would like to work in investment banking or consulting.
From my understanding,
Stern
Pro - one of the best in finance, many interesting finance classes, in NYC!!, scholarship!
Con - Not quite good in consulting, not quite strong alumni network in Asia
INSEAD
Pro - high ranking, well-known in consulting (not much in finance, right?), exchange at Wharton/Kellogg
Con -
1. I want to work abroad so I'm not quite sure whether it will be difficult for Asian to work in Europe or not.
2. I wonder whether going for an exchange at Wharton or Kellogg will help me get a job in the USA or not.
3. Do you think it's too short since it is only 1 year?

If working in the US is not a priority, go with INSEAD.
Insead, Harvard, Stanford and Wharton are in a league of their own in terms of the prestige they hold - especially for Insead in EU-Asia region.
Plus give you are interested in consulting, its a good bet to go to Insead.

If you want to work in the US and want to target finance, then Stern is an easy decision.
If you want to work outside the US, and have an interest in consulting, INSEAD is an easy decision.
In the middle there will be tradeoffs, but I think overall INSEAD is the stronger school and especially in Europe and Asia, it will open many doors (particularly PE/industry) that would stay shut were you to go to Stern. You can target finance at INSEAD, but make sure you go for a December cohort so you get the internship.
