Hello All,
I am from Canada. I got admitted in all the three top EMBA programs of US.
1./ Kellogg - Evanston
2./ Booth - Chicago
3./ Wharton - SFO
All are great programs, My heart says Booth but not sure whether that be a correct move or not. I am really confused where to go.
I am 16 years experienced professional. My background is in manufacturing and consultancy. My post MBA goal is to work for High tech. I want to move to India and looking for options there.
Please advise me which program to chose.
Hi
johnting2010First of all congrats on awesome achievement !

I was wondering why did you sorted them in that order ?
Is this order of received offers ?
Since we know thats not your order of preference

US News rankings for current 2018. seems to agree with your heart

Booth is first, Wharton second, Kellogg comes as third for EMBA.
I happen to agree with that order, even before cheking

Of course I am aware of FT, QS and Economist rankings that present different order, but I think they are biased, I see a lot EU schhols there in top 10 for instance, that simply should not come before their US counterparts.
Some of them sure, but there is a lot lesser known schools in top 20.
As you may or may not know, Booth EMBA was first in the world of its kind program.
Chicago, London, Hong Kong experience seems alluring to me.
I went through curriculum of all three schools and they are all centered on General Management, not much of high tech courses even in electives.
Checked increase in salary data also and they are all about the same in average.
I dont see any strategic advantage of you going to Kellogg before Booth.
Now, with Wharton San Francisco you will be exposed to high tech companies in Silicon Valley and that would be especially beneficial if you wanted to work and stay there after graduation.
Since your goal is to go to India and work there in high tech industry, that downgrades attractiveness of being there, however it is still excellent for networking and it is quite possible that you could work in India for US tech company that has headquarter there.
So with Wharton SF EMBA you will be in good position to land desired job while you are there and then relocate to India.
Still, I think you should go to Booth, gut is always right and you should listen that voice.
That being said, I think Wharton is your second best choice, keeping in mind your specific desires and circumstances.
I am sure in India they know for all three brand schools mentioned, so you are set in those terms

I wote for Booth.
Good luck making your final decision and keep us posted !
