Hi my name is shubhashish sharma,
I have received an admit from SMU Cox school of business and UIUC for the MS finance program for the fall 2019 session. Both are STEM programs, and my long term goal is to work in an investment banking profile. Also I am a Cfa charterholder with 4.5 years of experience in tax litigation and asset management.
Any feedback and help is much appreciated

Congrats on getting admission from those two schools
Fact that they are both STEM is a plus.
In terms of program strength, UIUC is a stronger, in terms of location obviously Dallas has advantage over Urbana–Champaign.

Although, I believe both programs will serve you well in your intention of landing job at IB, and even though I am fan of big cities for living, I myself would rather go to better program, which is UIUC .
Finally, UIUC is even ranked in FT's Masters in Finance Post-experience 2018, which would be your category:
