Hello,
I was planning to get into a top business school almost 2 years ago. Althought, when I started to study for GMAT and get more informations about the mba programs my wife got pregnant and I decided to postpone the mba idea. Now my son have almost one year and all the work is getting more soft so I decided to start the journey again. A little of my background is: I am graduated in business administration and accounting with postgrad in project management. I worked almost six years in big four firms (PwC and EY) and since 2018 I am working in an education company as Controllership and FP&A Manager. When I decided to take the GMAT two years ago I studied for a month and got 590. I knew that i could performed well but since I decided to postpone I gave up to take another GMAT at that time. When I started to look again the mba programs my first decision was to take it in Europe because the students are a little older and with more work experience. Some universities that I looked were ESADE, IESE, IE, IMD and Insead. Looking into the websites of those universities and considering that I had few available time to study (consider that I work between 10 to 12 hours a day and in my free time I enjoy to stay with my son) I looked for more information about ESADE and IE admission test. It looked interesting to me considering that it is not necessary to study as much as GMAT needs and I took the ESADE test three weeks ago. Last week I received a positive feedback from ESADE telling me that my score was great (710 in a GMAT score calculator). I liked the mba programs information from ESADE but I still have some concerns. I know that other schools like IESE and Insead are better ranked than ESADE but considering my goals that are or work in an investment banking or a consult firm in Europe or open my own business in Brazil I think that Esade can be a great choice. I read some reviews about Esade mba program telling that the career service could be improved and that the company options in internal workshops were very limitated. So, my main concerns are:
1) it is feasible find a job in IB or consulting firms in Europe after the Esade mba?
2) how is the day to day life of an esade student? Considering that my wife will come with me I will need help her with housework and take care of our baby.
Thanks in advance for your support.
