Post MBA career is Technology Strategy and Long term goal is Tech Entrepreneurship.
Neither of these programs are known to be super tech-focused. Do you already have a strong background in tech?
At Vanderbilt, if you're pursuing HOP/HR, there will be ample opportunities to break into Tech (especially MSFT, AMZN, HP, Dell, Cisco and a few others). Also, if you're into Pathways Ops, there will be plenty of opportunity to pursue Amazon. Beyond that, the likelihood of landing Tech thins out considerably and the people who *do* get other Tech roles are those who already had strong Tech backgrounds (undergraduate degrees in Engineering or CS, have pre-existing ties to Silicon Valley, etc.).
Outside of just the Tech question, IMO Nashville is 100x better than St. Louis, but IDK if it is worth tens-of-thousands-of-dollars-more if your employment outcome will be about the same. Have you tried negotiating with Olin or Owen to see if either will move the needle a bit more in your favor?
Full disclosure: I'm a very happy Owen grad. I loved Nashville and think about my beloved Music City (which is now a couple of time zones away) every day.
