Hello everyone, I am fortunate to get acceptance from part-time MBA programs at UCLA Anderson and Michigan Ross. I'm currently an engineer at FAANG tech company here in Seattle. My future plans are to move into Product Manager/Business Strategy role staying in the tech industry, eventually advancing to business executive roles/startup. I plan on staying in Seattle during my MBA and commute over weekends for the MBA. I plan to settle down in Seattle/Bay Area post-graduation. Any thoughts on which program might be better suited based on my goals?
UCLA Anderson pros:
1) Strong brand name on the west coast and in tech
2) I have more flexibility where I can attend classes every weekend to once every three weeks.
3) Strong California network
Michigan Ross pros:
1) Program looks stronger based on rankings
2) Designed to be completed in 2 years vs 3 years at Anderson
3) Awarded 10K scholarship which brings cost almost closer to UCLA Anderson
4) MAP might give me the ability to gain hands-on experience in a part-time program which isn't an option in other programs.
5) Commute every 2 weeks instead of every week.
I am also considering applying to UW Foster since it is local to Seattle, considerably cheaper and has been growing in rankings due to its placement in tech. However I still dicey on its long-term benefit/credibility. Any opinions on this as well?
Any insight is appreciated
