Hi All,
I have received admits from UT Dallas and UIUC for MS in Finance.
When I compare these 2 colleges - as far as the difference in tuition fees goes - it is huge.
While UTD will release its scholarship decision around June-July, UIUC will notify on or before 1st May. As of now, I do not have any information on the scholarship status.
Personally, curriculum-wise, UTD and UIUC are at par for me as they both provide the areas of concentration that I am looking for - which is Corporate Finance.
Are there any distinct advantages of choosing UIUC over UT Dallas?
I am an international student, and it would be really nice to receive any inputs regarding any other factors that I should consider before making the final selection.

Hi. I can't comment on the programs themselves. These don't come up often. However, I would focus on ease of finding work after graduation (includes on campus events as well as STEM certification) and also cost. One may be more important than the other to your situation.
P.S. Both schools are fairly well known though probably not as highly ranked. You may find UIUC to be more exciting and in a more intereresting metro area than Dallas but UT Dallas likely has a monopoly on recruiting in Dallas, which is a pretty good benefit.
