Hi guys, I was admitted to two programs and having a hard time where to attend.
My goal is to get a job in data analyst position, but still want to open chances to pursue PhD afterwards.
Both are STEM designated.
-Duke Fuqua MQM
Pros :
High reputation
Fuqua connections
Good business coursework
Highly ranked in business school
Cons :
Lack of machine learning or SAS courses
concentrated on business coursework (my undergraduate major is Business so I want to develop my technical skills more)
not in the QS ranking for business analytics program (Are there other ranking indicators for Business Analytics program?)
does not have R&D center for Business analytics and machine learning
not so sure if I will have opportunities to actively participate in research with professors in this program.
does not provide RA position
-Purdue Krannert BAIM
Pros :
ranked #12 in business analytics program
has R&D center in which students can actively research and work as paid researcher.
can apply for RA position
coursework is concentrated on technical skills
Cons :
Business school reputation is not as good as that of Duke..?
