Everything you mentioned above leans UNC. Consulting at both schools is probably the same, with the slight edge to UNC. Healthcare is by far one of UNC’s strengths and will have more opportunities than Tepper in that space. Tech at f is stronger at Tepper by percentage but UNC is no slouch in tech either. Look at the recent Poets & Quants on top tech feeders and you’ll see CMU is up there but so is UNC. Lastly you mentioned you want to end up in Atlanta in which case UNC is a clear winner. They place highly in Atlanta and have a ton of alums there. They also place well in NE ( see employment report)
In terms of career center, you have to realize that at a core level career centers must get you the top companies on campus for networking and interviews, provide resources to prep for various interviews and be available with questions. Unc is a highly collaborative school and so 2nd years work very closely with C&L to help you the most. Sure some schools may have stronger C&L here and there but at the end it comes down to you and how much effort you put in. C&L isn’t going to get you the internship or full time that’s on you but it’s not like you’re not supported either.
Final note, tepper has a nice building. Unc is getting outdated but were just approved for a brand new business school building. You won’t benefit from it but it’s coming. I personally like Pittsburg but chapel hill would be a more fun place to go to school in my opinion. Great bars, food, downtown, sports on a beautiful UNC campus. Goodluck!
