Hey!
I need some input on my decision I have to make in January (2021).
I currently have an offer from City University London (Cass) and Trinity College Dublin for an MSc in Finance. In terms of FT-ranking, Cass is somewhat better ranked. However, it seems that Trinity might give me more bang for the buck (given that the tuition is almost 50 % of Cass's). My aspiration is to get into investment banking or consulting after my graduation.
Moreover, I will intern at KPMG (Audit) this spring and might move to full-time afterward (if both parties agree). To mitigate the uncertainty of whether I will get an offer for KPMG for full-time/if I want to stay, my plan is to still pay the deposit to one of the Universities, which will then work as an option.
1. Which university would you recommend and why?
2. Does it make sense to do I MSc in Finance if I will receive a full-time offer at KPMG? That is, will my future career prospects be better with an MSc in Finance vs. a full-time work experience?
Thanks!
