I have received 2 offers from Pepperdine Graziadio 20-month MBA Program and SMU Cox 1 year fast-track MBA program with 15,000$ Merit Scholarship. Which offer should I take?
Backgrond
WE：2 years in Media Post MBA goal： Start-up my own business with chess education (I was a professional chess player in China and right now is the FIDE Instructor)
Both locations are good for me to network with the local chess association
Pepperdine
Pros
1.Location
2.Length of the program
3.Capability to travel to Europe in the second year(ESSEC) and take the concentration of Dispute Resolution (Rank No. 3 in the US)
Cons
1.No scholarship (Tuition up to 100,000 $)
2.Low Ranking and 'middle' Reputation of B-school
SMU COX
Pros
1. High ranking and reputation of B-School
2. After the scholarship, the Tuition is about 58,000$
Cons
1.Start from May （probably I cannot study onsite since the visa center in Chia is closed right now）and the length of the program is short）

You sound like a very accomplished individual! At the same time, you have reached there a bit too fast
Having 2 years of work experience is a bit on the shorter side and probably not a recommended path for a 1-year MBA without an internship but that may not be as critical if you are starting your own business. The Cox program is half the price and half the time (sort of) and I can see that being an advantage to some and a drag on others. Some prefer to spend 2 years in the program and take the summer internship. Doing the 1-year program is more intense and provides less time for recruiting or working on your own company.
Just looked up some stats and Pepperdine has only 25% of International students but 80% of them are from China! That's 24 out of 30 or so international students. Cute peculiar. Not many Indian applicants, interesting enough. Very different profile (this is based on the 2019 data). I don't know if you are attracted to this or the opposite (I know some people want to be outside of their comfort zone when doing the MBA) while I have experience with some of the Asian students in my class who would hang together and would not really engage outside of that circle (which is probably not worth heading to an MBA if all you are going to do is stick with your own folks).
FYI - Pepperdine is in Malibu and 45 mins away from any civilization. Not sure if you have explored it personally or via google maps but it is not really friendly to any means of transportation and you will have to have a car. There is a vibrant China community in LA but it is ways from Malibu....
It does not sound like you need to rely too much on the school recruiting so I would probably look at things such as Internship and financing. You would benefit starting your own company/business if you have less debt...
P.S. I would also consider if you want to perhaps start your Chess Venture now instead of waiting for the bschool to be done - something helpful to do while you are in bschool as you can apply all the learnings and use it as a project for your classes. Also, it is possible you may realize that either it is not something you want to do long term or perhaps you don't need an MBA... some people have dropped out of business school to do work and start their ventures.
