Hi all,
I have secured admits to both IIM Indore and Lucknow for their one year programs. I need to make a decision on which school to go ahead with. Can someone please guide me as to how to make an informed choice. Currently, I have the below pointers:
IPMX has a bigger alumni base compared to EPGp and also carries the tag of Lucknow which is a bigger brand than Indore.
IPMX is in a satellite campus while EPGP is in the main campus of IIM Indore

While the placements reports are available online, the numbers can be misguiding as the average CTC don’t represent the true picture.
Any POV on the above question would be massively helpful.

Thank you,
Arvind

Hi,

Congratulations on getting selected at both the colleges! You are lucky to have such a choice.

Both EPGP and IPMX have almost similar student profile (age profile, diversity, industries etc). The average GMAT score is almost similar in both the colleges if we consider the sample of students who have qualified in these colleges.

As you have already mentioned, IPMX has an advantage of bigger alumni base. As per available data, the placements are slightly better in IIM Lucknow. Being a satellite campus can not completely negate these positives. IIML has traditionally been preferred over IIMI, although the latest FT ranking suggest IIMI as the better college. So basically, its now the question of brand recognition. In India, despite what FT rank suggests, the perception of IIML as being better to IIMI, exists. And MBA is mostly an attempt to add "brand value". Considering these, It will be advisable to join IIML IPMX.

Although, at the end of the day, individuals matter. So its up to you!
