Congratulations on your admits!
This is a pretty common question. Fuqua, UNC, or Owen. John Hopkins also pops up sometimes.
I would personally focus on employers and connections that exist between schools and your potential future placement. Both rely on the med school reputations and connections.
Fuqua is very focused on their community and student body. Tim Fuqua is an actual thing and not just a concept.
Third, fuqua is higher ranked, and that’s no-brainer but you need to figure out if that has an impact on your decision. You’re likely to half higher caliber of classmates and a higher caliber of professors. There are a lot exchange opportunities at Fuqua should those open up in a year or two.
I don’t know if there is a big play in private versus public for your purposes... but a consideration.
In terms of cost, if you have undergrad debt, I would probably consider the UNC harder.
Also, how does it fit into your network? Did you go to a large public school for undergrad? If so, some people sometimes look for a different experience and try to go to a small private school or vice versa. I’m not sure I am a proponent of a salad bar approach to life but you do have that choice.
