Throwaway here, for obvious reasons. I've narrowed down my choices to Duke Fuqua and my top choice. Both would be great for my career choice and I have enjoyed talking with students at both. I love Team Fuqua as well! However, Duke has given me a huge scholarship and my top choice nothing. Negotiations aren't going great at my top choice for scholarships.
My main concern is the culture fit. I'm more of an artsy/go to concerts/go to art shows/ go to bars/go to restaurants type of person. I do enjoy going to sporting events on occasion (like a couple times of year), but I don't want to go to a school where all that people do is go to sports events every weekend. I also don't want to go to a school where sports is all people talk about. Any thoughts? Thank you!!!

Hello, conumdrum101010. Your post is one of the more amusing ones I have read in a while, and many pass my eyes on a daily basis. You will find that at any university, particularly one that boasts a graduate student body about 10,000 strong, there will be a broad range of student interests. I have known Ohio State students who cannot stand football, for instance. Sure, the OSU culture can, at times, seem to revolve around football, but Columbus has much more to offer, just as Durham has plenty to offer, and you can always find like-minded individuals when you put thousands of people into the mix.
Have you made the same considerations about your other school, the top choice? I would not let such a narrow issue guide my hand, to be honest.

Thanks Andrew! While I understand I can certainly find people counting ALL of Duke University's grad schools who are interested in what I am interested in, I wanted to ask specifically about their MBA program because it is so close-knit and because it is only 400ish people. But your answer does put me at ease a bit.
