Hello all,
I am facing a difficult decision choosing between UCLA MFE and LBS MFA, from which I got offers without a scholarship. There seem to be two significant factors to consider:
* USA vs the UK
* Specialty vs Generalist Degree
I have the following questions:
- Both Schools are reputable but overall which do you think has a better reputation?
- Which region is easier for an international to find a job in the finance industry, UK or USA west coast?
- Which do you think to have better prospects to find jobs, a generalist degree from LBS or a Specialty degree in financial engineering. Is it possible for a financial engineering grad to get into non-quantitive jobs such as M&A or banking? And does the demand for Quant jobs increasing?
