Well, first of all congratulations on getting admission at both universities.
And before indulging on my POV, I will say, choosing any solely depends upon the city you want to end up working in.
Madrid and Barcelona, Both are amazing destinations for work-life balance, so you won't go wrong with any of it.
It's almost similar to choosing Shanghai and Beijing.

Coming back to college, Since you chose MIM (which is master in management, you are ought to get repetitive subjects if your background is from management niche.
But I will not say everything taught on bachelors level is repeated at masters. Topics and knowledge will be definitely more diversified, so don't worry regarding studying subjects again.
P.S.~ if you get the same topics, you can definitely show off your knowledge to other students. :tongue_opt3

If you say about getting into marketing niche from ESADE, then marketing is interlinked part of media. You won't regret studying marketing, if you want to go in media sector.

Regarding your question about which college can land you job in tech field, let me quote this from Google information

Quote:
if a prospective student is looking beyond business, then IE would prove more suitable, while ESADE acts as a real networking hub in the world of commerce.

Here, it looks like ESADE is more focused on commerce aspect as compared to IE, so IE could be your choice. However, there is nothing like you can't get tech field job from ESADE, or IE will definitely land you a picture perfect job.
Getting a job at the end of day is your own efforts. Schools will just play a role.
It's all upto you, which city you want to work in.
If you are to follow my advice, I will say, make a list of tech companies you want to work in at Barcelona and Madrid, it will definitely help you in deciding your college.

Be rest assured, you will never get wrong with any.
Good Luck.🍀😃

Hi! With all your respect, I would really try to apply to UK schools. The problem is that no ones know about Spanish schools. Long term wise I think going to these schools is detrimental. Try LSE or LBS or even a step lower Warwick. You will be much better off.

Good Luck!

ESADE and IE are in consistent ranking past couple of years and given schools are located in mardrid and barcelona, the main cities of Spain. I won't say no one know about them.
Going for UK schools sounds conventional, but not every conventional way is best for all.
Let he/she keep it their choice to select school.
Both IE and Esade are great schools. It's upto the student how he/she will be adjusting there post grad. Because settling in UK is also not a cake walk.

Hi! I understand you are an admission consultant. But I have graduated from a business school and trust me reputation counts a lot in your professional career. That is why I really recommend UK schools as they have the highest overall brand recognition. But then, if you want to study in Spain, then by all means go there the sun is shinning all year round. However, also one thing to take into account is the economic situation in Spain which is one of the worse in Europe without considering that Spanish people speak terrible English. But again, I am not against these schools, what I am trying to say is that UK schools have just so much more weight it is crazy.

Good luck on your choice! Take it based on your gut feeling! If you can visit the campus and talk to current students, it always helps!

Okay,
Fact 1: I am not an admission consultant.
Fact 2: your statement was kind of biased towards UK schools; whereas, the student (I am unaware of real name) seemingly applied to spanish schools. So when he/she is into the dilemma of chosing one between them, It would give him/her another prospective to think again on his/her admission decision. So confusion creation is not gonna help.

I get that reputation matters. I get to know well. But the student must have spent his/her considerable time on application. So let it be her/his decision.

Hi guys, for the update, I chose IE in the end. Few things helps lead to this decision.

First, the reply I got from this post, which provide me a quite comprehensive comparison of them two schools.

Second, I think activities and alumni resources are one of the most valuable things I want to get from business school, IE seems to have more advantages in that sense.

Third, I compare the open statistics on LinkedIn to see where do the alumni work after graduating from those two schools. It seems that, More graduates from IE who work in big international tech company like google, Amazon etc, while more graduates from Esade who work in domestic banks or companies in Spain. (Just my own conclusions) . both school have quite a high percentage of graduates who work in universities in Spain(including the schools themselves) and big consulting firm like MBB. Since I want to pívot to tech area, so that helps me lean to IE too.
Fourth, personally I think I am more interested in Mim (strategic management) comparing to MMM in terms of the content. That is the key factor choosing IE mim in the end.

In general, I think Esade no doubt is a great school, but IE seems to match more with what I want in this master.
