Congrats on your Admits!

I agree with your perspective. LBS does seem like it would be good with London being a financial Hub more so than Paris but Paris has a fair share of Finance as well.

Yes, EMBA choices are slightly difference since you do not have the traditional recruiting and my guess potentially no work permit option (?). It seems that if you are from UK, you will soon will need an EU permit and if you are from the EU, you will need the UK permit... and if the program does not grant it (it does not in the US at least) and you need it, it can be tricky.

I personally love the GEMBA schedule but not sure if you can pull that off with lock downs this fall (maybe? Would be annoying if it is virtual).

As to LBS, I have had a high opinion of them for a while but speaking a few students, it seems some of their administrative aspects are lacking and they really have not handled the pandemic really well. It is possible it is just this year. I know a lot of schools have struggled but frankly, we have not even been able to get a hold of anyone of them to join the MBA Spotlight Fair. We send the emails and don't get the basic courtesy of a reply. HBS, Stanford, Wharton, INSEAD, Sloan, HEC, Booth, Kellogg, the list goes on - all replied and are all participating in the MBA Spotlight Fair. Crickets from LBS... and we tried a few people too so just strange.

I have to run 3 mins to a call but I would say whatever goals you have for the EMBA, write them down for yourself. Then talk to current students (connect with at least 2-3) from each EMBA program and see how each program would help you with your goals (are you planning to change your employer? Likely is my guess, so how would each help you do that?) Would you be limited to certain geographies, is it possible with your background, etc? It would be helpful to get their input that I don't have access to right now besides some second-hand tidbits I hear.

-BB.

Best MBA in Europe - different rankings, different opinions.

Plus, we are talking about EMBA, where rankings are slightly different.

I am not arguing or saying LBS is bad. I am keeping an open mind and raising questions.
