Hi everyone.
Recently, I have been admitted to Tepper CMU (Class of 2023) and waitlisted for INSEAD Jan 2022 Intake.
I am stuck on choosing between the following to options.
Option 1 Go to Tepper next this August.
Option 2 Decline or defer the Tepper offer and try to get off INSEAD waitlist until the end of the process.
Here is my profile
Back ground : Male SEA
Degree : Civil Engineering
Age: 30
Test Score : GRE 323 (Q 168 : V 155)
Post MBA Career : Tech (Data sci and ML) or Corporate Entreper. (Location SEA)
Long Term Career Location: SEA or Europe
Option 1 Pro
1. Tech focus and oppotunities to take classes of other famous programs of CMU
2. More time to absorb new expereince.
Option 1 Con
1. Less pretigious in SEA
Option 2 Pro
1. Entrepreneurship School
2. Better brading in SEA when it comes to MBA
3. Better ROI
Option 2 Con
1. It's risky because of waitlisted and I could end up reapplying next cycle ( Age concern)
2. I would work for my current company and same position ( I feel that I'm done with it and want something new especially in tech.)
Personally, I prefer the option 2 mainly because of ROI and 1Y program, but
I would love to hear your though and be grateful for any opinion or input you offer. Thank you very much inadvance!

Sorry I have been out with MBA Spotlight and taking a breather afterwards.
Well... your plan to decline the Tepper offer is pretty risky. What if you don't get into INSEAD?
Frankly, if you do not want to end up in the US, there is no reason to attend the MBA program in the US besides potentially going into the world largest Tech market (or did China beat us by now?).
I think you have only 1 option to take Tepper or not take Tepper as an option. I can tell you that next year, there will be more international applicants to the US and EU schools. GMAC shared that the GMAT volume has gone up in the last year everywhere except US (so there is an advantage potentially if you are a US applicant).
Anyway, unless you can see going through another season of applications, I am afraid you only have the Tepper option 🤷♂️😲 and so need to decide Y/N
