I am offered a place in both RSM and Warwick MBA. I have 1.5 years of experience as a Programmer Analyst in Cognizant and 5.5 years of banking experience in the credit and foreign exchange department. I am looking for a finance/tech role post-MBA. I have two queries.
1. Which MBA is more recognised globally and in Europe?
2. I am targeting only European B schools. I secured a 700 GMAT score. I gave my GMAT exam late and thus applied to safety schools only. Should I wait another year to have a chance at a better B school? Does ranking really matter??
Hey, congratulations on the offers.
Both are great schools, so whatever school you end up choosing or not choosing (in case you try to reapply in the fall), I am sure you will be okay in every case. 700 is a great score. So, if you want to reapply, and take chances for a better MBA school, then you definitely should.
Between RSM and Warwick, I might be biased for Warwick but will try to act neutral.
1. According to QS, Warwick and Rotterdam are almost on similar ranking, FT ranks Warwick higher.
2. The UK offer 2 years post-grad work visa, while the Netherlands offers only a 1-year post-grad work visa.
3. Salaries are higher in the Netherlands.
4. People in the Netherlands do speak English, so job search won't be an exact problem. Plus you can always learn Dutch.
I search through google. Most of the existing articles say Warwick is better, but if you want the whole European country's feeling then RSM is better.
At last, it's your choice. Both are great schools, you won't regret choosing either. Good luck.
