Hello People,

I am from India, and I am immensely happy to share that I have received acceptance from Olin (Full Ride) and McDonough (Around 60% in Scholarships). Please help me which one to choose?

Congratulations on your admits. I think it’s probably not that much of a difference between these two programs but I felt like Georgetown name would be worth something so I reluctantly voted for it. The bottom line is that none of the schools will guarantee your job and you will have to recruit either way, but I feel like you have better chances in DC rather than St. Louis. However, it’s up to you to convert a conversation, convert coffee chat and convert an interview…. Potentially you can go to all in and graduate with very little debt compared to other options…. I don’t know, I’m torn :-)

Adarsh,

we have talked and wanted to reiterate.

I have duly loved my experience at Olin and loved the people that I have come across. Builds for a very personable and welcoming experience. I think recruitment wise both the colleges are of the same merit. The location of DC is better but that doesn't mean you are restricted in st louis because most recruiting nowadays is online. WashU is a great program and you have a full tuition scholarship

I'd be indifferent for schools when it comes to goals. Both schools will get you there.

Georgetown is slightly more prestigious University if that is of any value to you. As an Indian man myself, I would have chosen a full ride for two reasons- a. Down side risk is lowered and there are instances where you don't find a well paying job or internship, b. You get to keep your power and live a proper well balanced independent life

Business schools add a lot of stress when you're in debt. So, overall, taking lower debt and ensuring that you still end up in the same place post-MBA, while ensuring that you can live independently would be a good way to go.
