I received full-time MBA admissions offers from Fuqua with a $50,000 scholarship and Forte Fellow recognition, and from McCombs with a full-tuition scholarship and Forte Fellow recognition. I am an international student (India). My post-MBA career goal is product management, and tech consulting would be an alternative. I intend to return to India three years after graduating.
I need help in making a decision.

Given that you want to get into Tech, Mccombs is no brainer.

Duke Fuqua Total tuition fee (only): $ 153k
Texas McCombs Total tuition fee (only): $ 118k

Net of the scholarship, you still need to fork out $100k for Duke, either through loans or personal savings.

If your goal of returning to India is absolutely clear, then consider how will you pay a $100k loan from INR salary.

Both schools are close to each other in US News rankings'22.

I think good points. tech is a bit of a mess right now so hard to judge what would be great (Fuqua never quite had a big tech focus). It is def strong in Consulting and Healthcare. Perhaps McCombs if you are leaving the US. Will be tricky to pay your loan in just 3 years. It is possible for sure but easier with a scholarship and since Fuqua never had a big tech focus perhaps McCombs is good on both ends. 🤷‍♂️

I highly appreciate the suggestions. If Fuqua's brand value will benefit my long-term career, I don't mind spending $100k. I want to know if spending $100k with Fuqua will have a substantial impact on my career in the long-term and if there will be a significant difference between the starting earnings of Fuqua and McCombs grads.
