Congratulations on your admits.
I checked the link and the employment report. It seems from the picture they show at the very top, 90% of the class are China residents.
I don’t know a whole lot about the Chinese schools but this would be a gamble to go to China. I spent a semester in Hong Kong on an exchange and tried to find an internship there since the school load wasn’t very strong. It was impossible without having local language skills. This is Hong Kong a number of years ago where they had a lot of international companies. They had a lot of ex-pats and you would think plenty of internships for people without language skills. All of my classmates also tried to find an internship and we will give up. It wasn’t just me, it will be a limiting factor to not know the language in both day-to-day things as well as job search. In addition, I don’t know what kind of job permit you are supposed to have and how that works…
On the other hand, even if you cannot find a job locally, you still get a free masters program. Would you be able to leverage the name to recruit elsewhere? I personally have never heard of it. Is that going to be a problem to recruit wherever you were planning to live and work after graduation? I think the program should be known in Singapore but I’m not sure. This is kind of like most products coming out of China, you’ve never heard of them and you’re not sure if it’s an iPhone killer or a piece of garbage. It can be both. There’s definitely some good stuff there but there’s also quite a bit of garbage.
