Hi, I have a few options whom the most interesting are the following :
ESADE Msc Finance ( 1 year )
King's College London Msc Banking & Finance ( very expensive, 1 year )
EDHEC MiM Finance ( 3 years )
SKEMA Programme Grande Ecole + Msc Financial Markets & Investments ( 2 years with one semester abroad and the last year in the USA )
EM Lyon Msc finance ( 1 year )
I just graduated from law school and I am already 22 so lenght of the program is an important factor to me ( I want to start working ASAP )/
A friend of mine did SKEMA's program and landed a job in asset management in Paris ( Edmond Rotshschild ). On linkedin I see a few derivative traders at HSBC in Hong Kong, London and even NY. Also the FT Ranking is pretty impressive ( 3rd in 2021 ). I know the other brand names are better so far but the program seems interesting ( and the semester in Brasil will make me forget my **** years in law school ).
Honestly I am hesitating between ESADE and Skema. Is the difference that important when it comes to finding jobs in investment banking or asset management ? What is the most intelligent way to spend money ( that I don't even have yet lol ).
If I still have a shot considering deadlines, I'd like to apply to IE Madrid, EADA Barcelona, IESE, maybe other UK programs too. Please, let me know if you have any advice. Thanks a lot +

Also I am fluent in French and Spanish, my English is good too. I can also speak Italian but I'd prefer not to study in Italy.

Congrats on your admits!
Thank you also for clarifying about your language skills as that often comes up as a consideration and concern studying in countries with weak language skills so it’s awesome that you don’t have a barrier.
I would consider a few other items, first of all it’s easier to recruit in the country you want to work and if you already go to school there, esp for UK since it’s not a part of the European Union.
About individuals working in various investment firms and funds and companies. Every program and every university will have a handful of really successful or really capable people who will stand out but that doesn’t mean it’s a norm or everyone gets an amazing job graduating from that program. Rather it’s a reflection of their individual capability and luck.
I can probably guess that the individuals working in Hong Kong likely had language skills or somehow had a very strong background in China to be hired as ex-pats, though there was a decent contingent of Germans in HK working in finance. Or perhaps they transferred a few years later after starting in an office in Paris for example but LinkedIn is not going to tell you those little pieces of information usually…
Having a law degree is going to be helpful and I would say very helpful to help you stand out from the crowd and have those skills and abilities in that knowledge so I think that’s a good passage to have!
3-year program at EDHEC is long. Wow. Kudos to them for such extent and commitment but I feel same as you. You can only be a poor student for so long.
Can your friend get you a job?
This is a serious question. Can your friend refer you to a job within the industry and help you net work or land even some informational interviews and some basic access to the industry? If yes, that is hardly matters which school you go to… it’ll all be circumstantial and just basically driven by chance. Imagine a recruiter choosing an applicant who has the same qualities from these five or six programs, do you think they’ll be choosing them based on the program name? Probably not but they may have a connection with the University for recruiting or they may have another relationship that would be more valuable.
