Congratulations on your admits!

So the tough part of course is you still have a number of years until you’re going to go back to school for this decision which can potentially impact your job seven years from now 😬
FYI - we’ve had a number of folks who had a deferred offer reapply to see if they can improve their chances. A number of folks let these opportunities lapse and just continue to work… and I think last year we had a person who accepted multiple deferred offers. Because they could not make up their mind between a scholarship and the brand value.
Here’s the thing, if you get a return offer then the brand value of the MBA program isn’t as substantial or significant. Because he will work in the company for a few years and by the time you will be recruiting based on your work experience and your own Nettwerk rather than what business school you went to…. The further away you are from graduation the less power the brand of the business school has… so you could opt for a scholarship offer but since you most likely will be sponsored, I think that’s almost doesn’t have as much weight. Darden however has good results in investment banking.
PS. If the only choice is between booth and Columbia, I’d probably choose Columbia because you would get the most value out of the net work in New York city and you should be able to open most doors as well. Someone has gone to Columbia for undergrad or law school or business school in Nee York. And it’s not like booth will give you a certain advantage in New York compared to Columbia or Harvard or Wharton for example… it’s a big place and a lot of your success and opportunities based on luck unfortunately for this topic…
PE he’s also very elite and some places hire a handful of NBA’s whereas others tired bunch of undergrads. My experience working with PEs is they run very lean shops and a lot of the opportunities will be based on networking and off-campus recruiting.
