Hi all,
I recently received offers from HKUST (The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology) (with a scholarship), HKU (The University of Hong Kong) (with a scholarship), NUS (National University of Singapore), and NTU (Nanyang Technological University). I need to respond to HKUST by 22 February. I would love to hear your thoughts on which school I should choose.
Here's a bit about my background: I am a Hong Kong resident and I completed my undergraduate studies at King's College London (LLB) and the University of Hong Kong (LLB). I am a qualified lawyer in Hong Kong, but I am looking to transition out of the legal industry and venture into a career as a management consultant or in a strategy role. I have a GMAT score of 650 (a bit low I know..) and 3.5 years of work experience. I am keen on working in Singapore, as I believe that the general economic forecast and job market there are more promising compared to Hong Kong. However, I am concerned about the potential challenges of obtaining a work visa as a Hong Kong resident.
I would greatly appreciate any comments or insights you may have, and I am open to discussing further.

I think if you want to be in Singapore, you should go to school there, no matter the work permit.... It seems you can always go back to HK and if you don't try you will probably be regretting it.
i can tell you that pretty much all HKUST and HKU grads who are not from HK recruit in Singapore and elsewhere outside of Hong Kong due to language barrier and visa. Being local would give you more advantages than recruiting remotely but there will be a decent HKUST/HKU group in Singapore either way.
