Hello everyone!
I have two bschool offers currently. Rotman - 10K CAD scholarship and Smith Queen's - 10K CAD scholarship.
I am a deferred candidate at Smith School of Business since May 2023. I had requested a deferral based on the grounds of family responsibilities. However, I applied to Rotman and Ivey this year and got into Rotman and dinged at Ivey. I had deferred the deposit deadline at Smith once stating an issue I had with Flywire not taking the deposit amount. During the extension, I received Rotman admit.
I would like to negotiate scholaships with both Bschools. However, I feel that Smith would not entertain this as I am a deferred candidate with multiple requests related to deposit deadline extension. If they find out about Rotman admit and scholarship negotiation, they would think something is not right.
If you guys could suggest how should I ideally go about negotiating the scholsarships at both Bschools and selecting one Bschool between the 2, it would really help me out. I would be funding my fee at both the schools using 90% loan funds.
Given that salary stats are similar, what should be the right way to go about selecting one among these two bschools?
My post MBA goal is Consulting at MBB or Tier 2 and my backup plan is LDP roles at Big 5 Banks.
