Hi Aanchal
Thank you!
I have an admit from HEC, but still in the application process for IMD.
Radhika_12If possible try to get an expedited decision from IMD. Heres my honest take wrt the two schools. If you are planning to be in the EU for a long time, IMD is a solid brand to push you into leadership positions and general management sort of roles. The cohort is small, and therefore I believe the individual attention is better and the overall environment is very cohesive. Traditionally IMD MBA is known for its focus on leadership and it is the breeding ground for future leaders. The placement opportunities are at par with INSEAD, LBS or any other top school. If you are seeking entry points into GM/ Finance or similar kind of roles, go with IMD if you can get the admit. Please note a caveat, IMD is not very well known in India, so you will have to wait a few years before you can return to India (if you want to).
Congratulations on the HEC Paris admit. Great school as well. You will find the middle east market to be more conducive for finding post MBA opportunities than other regions in the EU/UK, although thats still possible with the right skills. You will have better opportunities to move into consulting post HEC Paris, although MBB offers have been hard to come by more recently as told by current students, especially after long stints in audit.
If I were in your position, I would pick IMD Switzerland due to its small class size and close links with some of the best MNCs in Europe (especially in Switzerland).
