MBA - Cranfield vs LisbonMBA, Help me pick please

Question

Hello, 
I recently got admitted to Cranfield (UK) and LisbonMBA catolica (portugal), my deadline is in few days and i dont know where i should pay my registration fees ! Help
Cranfield Scholarship - 13000 Pounds 
LisbonMBA Scholarship - 9500 Euros
I am from India, my future goals are to work in consulting. 
Please help me pick which one would be better for me

I cannot really comment on the placement chances as I have not pulled up the employment reports but I assume you have. So I would pursue the school with the stronger placement to consulting note because they’ll be able to shove anyone in but hopefully they have a stronger infrastructure and a consulting club that actually has consultants who help you with mock interviews and case prep.

Also I recommend going to school in the country where you planning to work in my guesses you would be more likely to stick around London then Lisbon. at the same time, my guess is that Lisbon would be much cheaper and more amenable in case of a Plan B. I would also consider a Plan B by the way because consulting can be fickle. It’s very competitive.

I once discussed such a topic with my admissions consultant, and I was told that English-speaking countries may be better for consultant roles considering a knowledge of local language helps in consulting roles more than any other.

Let me call out the proverbial elephant in the room.

With an Indian passport, no matter where you study, getting into management consulting will be challenging. This is simply because UK and Portugal are not big enough markets where consultants do not have to travel cross-border (unlike the USA). This brings the huge challenge of securing work / business visas for an Indian passport holder - very, very few consulting firms will take the pains to do this, especially when they have the option to hire other passport holders that can travel freely.

Says someone who was in those specific shoes at one of the two schools you are considering.

Switching to a career in consulting in not going to be straightforward for you, as a foreign student. Having said that, your decision should be dependent on where you see yourself settling down. Cranfield also has two other benefits - the first is that it stands in an economy which is larger; secondly, language will not be an issue and that is important.

Of course, getting hold of the placement reports from both schools along with interacting with alumni from these schools is essential; this will give you an idea of the ground realities.
