Hello everyone,
I'm reaching out for some advice on deciding which school to attend this fall.
My post-MBA goals have been somewhat flexible. Initially, I was aiming for a Product Management role at BigTech, but given the current market situation in the US, I'm open to exploring opportunities in consulting or finance. I'm currently working as a software developer at a global bank and lack experience in consulting or finance, so I'm unsure about the difficulty of transitioning into these roles.
I've spoken with current students at these schools and they've mentioned that the job market, especially for tech roles, is not very promising right now. Specifically, I've heard that it's somewhat tougher at Kelley and Scheller.
On a personal note, I have a preference for living on the West Coast after my MBA, which is why I've been leaning towards Foster. However, my partner has been accepted to Scheller for this fall, and the idea of living together in Atlanta is something I can't seem to shake off. (Also, I'm negotiating with foster and goizeuta atm, not sure if goizeuta will up my funding but current students have said foster might but thats not really the issue here).
I'd appreciate any insights or advice you may have on navigating this decision. Thank you all in advance.
