Hello! After several months in my MBA journey, it's finally come down between INSEAD and IESE, which I can't choose right now.
Current situation: Got accepted to both schools with some scholarships from IESE, and still waiting for the scholarship result from INSEAD.
Background: non-business related background, 7 years working experience, currently working in Tech product management
Post-MBA goal: Management consulting but also interested in Investment Analyst/ VC role in Europe, and long-term in Asia + open to opportunities that come along.
IESE: I do like the community at IESE. The school's academics are also very reputable and good, especially the case methods that I think will benefit me in thinking and discussing better. 2 years will also allow me to explore. However, career outcomes seem to be mainly focused in Spain and Latin America - know that a lot also get good jobs in Europe, but heard that looking for jobs in Asia could be challenging.
INSEAD: I am excited to go to INSEAD. I liked the application and interview process. People I met also seem very nice. The school's reputation is good and is recognized worldwide. However, I wonder if 2 years will be enough for people who looking for career switching like me.
Head says IESE, heart says INSEAD but I'm scared.
Any opinions and recommendations are welcome.

It seems quite a bit late in the season. You applied to INSEAD Jan intake?
Both are great choices but you have to make one - I think the key here is to commit to what career you want. If you are looking for Consulting, you can't beat INSEAD. At the same time, I know this year jobs are not handed out to people on a silver platter. I know at least one competent tech person from SE Asia is still looking for a job after graduating in June (tech background and switching to consulting).
In terms of 1 year vs. 2 years, the main advantage is the summer internship where you can get placed in a consulting internship and then get a return offer. That's how recruiting for consulting works in the US but I think Europe is a bit different since most programs are just 1 year, so that's a question to the IESE folks about the internship opportunities in consulting and my guess they may be slim due to just how EU market works, which would somewhat negate the value of the 2-year program. Also, if you have a strong brand on your resume that would get you noticed (multi-national company) you should be able to recruit well (the interview process of course depends on your interview skills and if your interview skills are not great, I would start working on those ASAP and as much as you can as that will be the most crucial aspect of your recruiting success).
P.S. IESE also does Dubai placements I believe but Spain and Latin America are tricky if you don't speak Spanish. Same is somewhat true for France recruiting. If you don't speak French, it is hard to get hired into a local company.
