Hi all,
I am looking for some advice from this sub from the fortunate position of being accepted into these 3 programs. I'm an American (top non-Ivy undergrad), currently work in MM PE in New York City, but have always wanted to live and work abroad (specifically Europe) and think this is a rare window of my life where that is still possible (no kids, parents still healthy, etc.). Targeting PE / investing roles in London after graduation.
For me the pros and cons of each are as follows but would appreciate any feedback! Have been incredibly indecisive about this choice given how different the programs all are.
INSEAD
-Pros: best reputation of the international programs. I know LBS is strong in finance but have heard from some that INSEAD has the edge in terms of network and placement at some PE shops (a bit of conflicting data here). Would love the opportunity to work on my French and spend time in Singapore. Cheapest. Have really been struck at how quickly INSEADers respond to Linkedin messages, provide advice/support, etc.
-Cons: Consulting focus (and your network as a result), don't like how short the 10 months is (no internship in my intake / time to explore other fields), class seems relatively older, no visa to UK. Seems like some recent grads given the market have had a hard time quickly finding jobs after such a short program
Wharton/Lauder
-Pros: strongest brand and network of the 3, feel like it could do a lot for career long-term. Lauder program seems cool in terms of the classes I could take, languages, etc. Received full Lauder tuition scholarship
-Cons: don't want to be in Philadelphia, most expensive by far, feel like likelihood I just end up back in NYC is really high (especially given debt burden and need for US salary to repay). Despite international program seems like most don't actually work abroad / network would still overwhelmingly be Americans
LBS
-Pros: Opportunity to network in London, longer program, ability to have multiple internships, go on exchange to another overseas school, etc. Guaranteed post-grad visa. Extremely international class (INSEAD same here) but slightly younger. Seems like it'd be the most fun
-Cons: Relatively expensive for a Europe program, seems to have the worst reputation of the 3 (recently declining). Won't carry as well for eventually moving back to US (INSEAD also has this issue but less so)

I was in a similar situation few months back.
I suggest talking to alums of all the 3 schools to get an idea about culture.
Also following are the points that you should consider before making your decision:
1. If you want to recruit in Europe then INSEAD would be a really good choice.
But if you only want to target UK then I would suggest go with LBS.
2. Though I have heard LBS is good for finance but INSEAD isnt bad either and they are trying to improve on the consulting-only image 😬
3. If internship is something that you really want to do then you can do a pre MBA internship before starting your 10 month MBA program with INSEAD in August (in case you have jan intake offer then they do have 2 months for internship in betwn)
4. Wharton is one of the best in US. But considering you specifically want to recruit in Europe then you can conside either INSEAD or LBS

I would probably recommend against going to School in Europe. There are too many gotchas if you have not done that before. The recruiting is different, the pay is very different, and while it can be interesting and exciting, I feel Wharton would be a much stronger experience and brand to have that you can try recruiting into certain roles from the US. (harder but in my experience most US folks end up giving up on the Eu jobs due to the pay discrepancy)
