So right now I am trying to pick between Tepper with a half scholarship and Darden at sticker price.
Would love to get some feedback on this.
I am targeting consulting, ideally MBB, but would take T2. From what I can tell, McK and BCG recruit out of Tepper, not Bain, while all three pull heavily from Darden. Talking with some current company employees they have said that MBB work is really a league apart, which I why I want to go to the school with the strongest pipeline. If consulting doesn't work out I plan to look at LDP's and general corporate programs, with the way tech hiring has been recently I don't plan to try that direction.
Currently I can pay half in savings, so basically looking at 90k debt vs none. Even with the debt I am leaning Darden for the strength of consulting recruiting there. I also view the time im investing as the biggest cost, which in conjunction with post-MBA consulting salaries, the debt doesn't seem crushing.
