In that case you are in a good place!

HKUST traditionally had two groups of students, one more local students who got jobs in Hong Kong after graduation and the second group was international students who did not speak Cantonese and they had to go to Singapore as the result.

One of the cool things of the HKUST program is the second year exchange where everyone leaves the campus during the second year though it probably interferes with your recruiting chances...

HKUST also had a sizable part-time program I think.... But I think HKU has been catching up.

I think 10-15 years ago, HKUST was the top program. Not as certain anymore and how it will play out in the long run.

I would probably consider which program has a larger cohort and you feel as more competitive for admissions. That’s what I would probably base it on... which I think HKUST would still win by size.

Hi!
I got offer from Hkust with 40% tuition fee. While I am waiting for offers from other universities, I have to submit the seat lock in fees of HKD 65k.
I didn't know HKUST has rolling admissions and now I'm confused.

That’s a good offer. You can ask for the delay of the decision or deposit but there’s little chance you’ll get it.

The disadvantage of the Hong Kong programs is that it’s really hard to land the job if you don’t speak the language. Not many companies are looking for fresh graduates who have to deal with immigration

thanks so much for your advice. i got admission to their part-time programmes though i dont think full time or part time is gonna make a huge difference. I am more concerned about the global reputation of the programmes. as i know that HKUST and HKU are both well know in East and Southeast Asia not so sure about theirs in Europe and the USA. i have watched some promotional footage by HKU MBA and it says HKU MBA is more well known in the West.

one more thing. rumour has it HKUST's places in different MBA rankings have been pumped up that;s why i am not sure about HKUST while HKU seems more prestigious. I have met some people from Japan and the UK and the USA on some professional occasions. very very few were aware of HKUST...HKU seems a safe choice?

Got it. I couldn’t tell you really... I can tell you on the other hand that London business school, is not a well connected brand in the United States so if LBS is not then perhaps we are being a bit particular dissecting these two 😇

If you are attending the part-time program, I would again encourage you to attend a larger program because it would allow you to have a bigger network, better selection of classes, and more opportunities as well as events.

Hello

Do you know anything about the mba programme of the Chinese University of HK ? Seems it's not a frequent topic of discussion.😂😂
