Hi everyone,

I’ve received admits from both HEC Paris and the Rotman School of Management, and I’m currently weighing the two options. I have 10 years of experience in IT consulting and am looking to pivot into tech strategy, product management, or digital transformation roles post-MBA.
I’d love to hear from this community on a few key points:
  1. Which school has stronger outcomes in tech consulting and product roles, especially in markets like Europe vs. North America?
  2. Post-MBA ROI – Considering tuition, cost of living, and average salary outcomes, which program tends to offer better financial returns?
  3. Work authorization and long-term career growth – How do visa/PR pathways in Canada compare with the European job market (France, Germany, Netherlands, etc.)?
Any insights or alumni perspectives would be incredibly helpful as I try to make a well-informed decision.
Thanks in advance!
Both HEC Paris and Rotman are great choices, but your decision might hinge on geography. If you're leaning toward North America, Rotman offers better access to the Canadian job market and a clearer PR path. HEC has strong brand recognition in Europe, especially for roles in digital transformation and consulting. For tech strategy, both schools have solid networks, but Rotman may edge out with proximity to U.S. tech hubs. ROI-wise, Canada’s lower tuition and easier work authorization could make Rotman slightly more favorable, but it depends on your long-term location goals.
