Help choosing between Berkeley Haas and UCLA AndersonHi everyone! First-time poster here. I'm incredibly fortunate to have been accepted to both Berkeley Haas and UCLA Anderson this cycle and could use some perspective on my decision.
Background: I'm LA-based with 15 years in Entertainment and Media, plus some tech experience in marketing and branding. Currently working at an AI startup. My post-MBA goals are to pivot into consulting or tech PM roles.
Berkeley HaasPros:- Proximity to Bay Area tech ecosystem
- Higher ranking and stronger consulting placement reputation
- Full immersive/residential experience
Cons:- Less diverse cohort
- Higher cost
- Less flexibility (would commute to Berkeley for classes and weekend immersions)
UCLA AndersonPros:- Local convenience with cross-program elective opportunities (FT/FEMBA)
- Program seems to be gaining momentum and adapting well to evolving business needs
- Strong entertainment industry connections if my pivot doesn't work out
Cons:- Lower prestige may limit entrepreneurial opportunities (VC funding/relationships)
- If I want to move East Coast/International eventually, the brand may not carry as much weight
Any insights from current students, alumni, or others who've faced similar choices would be greatly appreciated!
